A Glitch in the Laws of Physics

When I think of you,
like, really consider you, deeply,
everything collapses.
All of my thoughts, my beliefs about myself,
my future, my past, my identity, they all
crumble, into emptiness.
Consider, the vast, great, nothingness
of our shared soul.
In that space, there is only
a sense of eternity
stretching out before me,
and there are no words
to describe this:
Unrelenting bliss
The sharp sting of joy
The expansiveness of unconditional love
The oneness we share with all things.
The words seem trite in comparison
to the experience of our connection.
It is unfathomable, unregrettable,
the way I have always known you,
and knew you existed, even though I hadn't
met you yet.
You were always there, in the background,
waiting for me to discover you,
like a rough diamond in the dirt.
Brilliant with flaws, beautiful anyway.
There will never be another quite like you,
unique, you draw me in like gravity,
you take my breath away.
Even when we pass this timeline,
I will not fret.
For I know, I will see you again.
